So, my CFO’s newest car arrived over the weekend… This is the same fellow with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio daily driver – and the 1968 Camaro, 2005 Porsche Boxster, 2023 Lotus Emira – and now a 2015 Jaguar F-type R…
I was joking that he was unhappy with not having anything that can beat my Hellcat, so he bought a supercharged rear-wheel drive muscle car – but British… Which still can’t beat my Hellcat – but he’s getting closer! 😀
Funny aside – he’s wanted a “firesand orange” F-type R since they came out in 2013, and was more or less waiting for depreciation to drop them into “just a car” territory. “Just a car” is where you can get one and just drive it around and have fun – without worrying about the six figures you spent on it.
Which is kinda like I did with the Hellcat; six-figure car that I picked up for a small enough amount that I can daily it and just enjoy it as “just a car” – even though it’s a literal fire breathing monster.
