Memorial Day weekend over – back to the office, though I had to take an Uber to get there and back.
After telling my roommate for the last four days that the remaining seven injectors would be arriving before 10:30 today, and that they needed to be signed for – at 09:30 he decided to wander off to WaffleHouse for breakfast.
At 10:00 the FedEx guy run the doorbell when no one was home – but I do have one of those fancy video doorbells with the 2-way communications, and I was able to convince the FedEx guy that it was okay to leave the box through the doorbell from the office.
Finally, some of this highfalutin technology actually made my life easier!
Anyway, I got home at 14:30, got the new injectors installed and everything bled, leak tested, and buttoned up by 15:00, and road tested the car a bit to let it learn the new throttle body and injectors.
The car idles super smooth now, and the throttle response without 32,000 miles of carbon buildup in the throttle body is far better.
The last bit of under the hood stuff will be the custom carbon fiber intake tube which should arrive … someday.
