Just got back from my favorite speed shop where I had a pair of Thrush 24242 glass packs installed in lieu of the pair of Dynomax race bullets the previous owner installed.
For a while now my biggest complaint with the car was how loud it is on startup… I mean, I certainly don’t mind it, but I also don’t want to be that guy at 7am waking up the neighborhood because I have to go into the office.
The race bullets also made the car a bit too “boy racer” for my 60’s / 70’s muscle car sensibilities… A proper muscle car should offer a low rumble you feel as much as hear, almost musical in a way – like a gas-powered subwoofer – versus just being generically loud.
Anyway, got that done, and one more thing checked off the list.
