The second new Waylens Horizon arrived this afternoon…
And after some firmware updating and physical installing, I took it out for a test drive:
Much better.
The only real issue I have is the iOS app that controls the camera and handles the gauge overlays on video export stopped development in 2019 – so it doesn’t handle the latest iOS version and the current iPhone hardware very well…
Namely, it doesn’t export the video with the overlayed gauges.
This is a relatively easy fix though as it will play the video with the gauges just fine, so I just fired up the iOS screen recorder and captured the parts I wanted from the 20 minute video of my drive.
All in all, I’m happy to have one of these again – warts and all.
