Another thousand miles added to the car since June 2nd, so 87 days.
I bought the car with 24,800 miles on 31 MAY 2024 – 819 days ago – and I’ve put 9200 miles on it since then. So I’m now at an average of 11.23 miles per day…
I’m still in a holding pattern with Tesla, though they did update the delivery window today: 20th to the 30th of September.
The issue is their trade-in offers are only good for 30 days and I ordered the car on the 12th, so I’ll have to do another round of photos and whatnot and get another offer.
Unfortunately, folks online indicate that the trade-in program is a bit of a bait and switch: Tesla knows it’ll take 4-6 weeks to deliver the car, so they offer you a good amount on the initial trade-in offer to get you on the hook, and then low-ball you on the subsequent one hoping the hook has set.
If that happens I’ll just keep the Hellcat. I don’t really want to get rid of it as it is, so if things aren’t perfect I’ll just eat the $250 deposit and move on to some other plan.
